“Higher” marks a turning point in my creative journey. After creating Nightlife, I realized I wasn’t limited to one sound. That moment opened the door to exploring new genres, and not long after, I wrote my first R&B record. Around that time, I connected with an aspiring singer who wanted to record music. With a home setup already in place, I decided to write something specifically for her voice. “Higher” became that song. She brought it to life vocally, and through that process, I was able to step into a new space as a writer, learning, experimenting, and expanding my range.
Originally written in the early 2000s and later revisited, “Higher” stands as both a creative milestone and a foundation for what would eventually become something much bigger. At its core, the song is about elevation. It’s not tied to any one belief system, but it carries an uplifting, almost spiritual energy, encouraging growth, movement, and transformation. The message is simple:
To rise beyond where you’ve been… and step into something greater.
Looking back now, without even realizing it at the time, “Higher” reflects the very philosophy behind Scene Infinity, pushing boundaries, exploring new dimensions, and creating experiences that take people somewhere they’ve never been before.
